The making out is hot and he’s her first (!!!) and foreshadowing and With Me and forever lulzy sleazy limo jokes BUT the first 24 seconds are perfect. My favorite. Of, like, the whole series. It’s so beautiful and subtle and that’s when I love them best. Not when they’re talking in cheesy riddles or are running melodramatic circles around each other. It’s like you can see on her face the wonder and excitement Blair feels after Victrola - the exhibition, the way the camera focuses on her as she is the one to hesitantly bridge the gap between them, how he asks if this is what she wants before barely touching her, the swelling of the music!
